Project Overview

Greatday Motors is a platform that has digitised trip booking, making it simple and hassle-free. This app removes the need for users to visit physical locations to book their trips, providing convenient access to transport options from anywhere.  Greatday Motors empowers you to effortlessly arrange your travel with just a few taps on your device.

The goal of Greatday Motors is to simplify the trip booking process, allowing users to easily book journeys to various destinations through both the mobile application and website while enhancing their overall travel experience.

My Role

As a Product Designer, I worked hand-in-hand with the team at every stage of the design process, from research and brainstorming to wireframing, prototyping, and testing. We kicked off with collaborative sessions to outline our project goals, and I dove into competitive analysis to identify market trends and gaps. With those insights in mind, I crafted essential features and designed user-friendly flows, all leading to the polished high-fidelity designs that was delivered.

Project Goal

  • Create a user-friendly platform: Simplify navigation for both admin and users, ensuring accessibility for all eight user roles.
  • Streamline admin tasks: Design a dashboard enabling Super Admins to oversee operations, monitor activities, and manage user roles.
  • Ensure responsiveness: Deliver a seamless experience across desktops, tablets, and mobile devices for easy trip booking.
  • Boost user engagement: Include features like trip management for drivers and trip creation for terminal managers to foster loyalty and interaction.
  • Assigning Role-Specific Responsibilities : The platform includes roles such as Super Admin overseeing the app, Admin managing users, Ticket Agents booking tickets, Customer Service handling complaints, Finance managing revenue, Drivers assisting passengers, Terminal Managers dispatching trips, Operational Heads overseeing vehicle additions and repairs, and Mechanics handling repairs.

  • Collaborated with stakeholders to define project goals and key features for easy trip booking.
  • Conducted user research and competitive analysis to understand user needs and market opportunities.
  • Created wireframes and prototypes, gathering feedback to refine layout and features.
  • Developed high-fidelity designs for both admin and user interfaces, ensuring cross-device consistency.
  • Worked closely with developers to implement designs, ensuring smooth integration and optimal functionality.

Users can view all terminals and their schedules, create new terminals, and assign terminal managers to oversee them.

Users can view all trips or create new ones, detailing routes and vehicle assignments.

Conclusion

As the founding Product Designer for the transportation app, I created a user-focused experience that simplifies trip bookings and streamlines operations for staff. By addressing the needs of all user roles, I developed a solution that enhances convenience for users and supports business growth.

With a responsive design and targeted features, the platform is set for long-term success, adapting to user feedback and market changes. This project highlights the power of strategic design in improving user satisfaction and business performance.
